If the name CopyTrans does not ring a bell, then perhaps the name CopyPod does. You see, this Wind Solutions-developed application used to be called CopyPod in the past. It is now called CopyTrans. The name, as least as far as I see it, is not important. What’s important is what this application can do for you.

CopyTrans is a backup and recovery tool that allows you to transfer data from your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad to your PC. Should anything go wrong, and you never know when a data-loss accident can occur, you can use CopyTrans to restore your data. CopyTrans will scan the contents of your iPod, iPad or iPhone and backup the data stored on the device or import that data into iTunes.

The functionality CopyTrans has to offer will come in handy if something happened to your iTunes library and you don’t want to lose the music stored on your iPod. CopyTrans will get the data stored on the iPod and rebuild the iTunes library.
